part of my day job requires me to participate in an activity called "comp shopping."  that's short for competitive shopping.  as an apparel merchant, it's important to be in the know as to where my customer is shopping & what he is being inspired by.

sounds fun yes, and it definitely is...but walking around for hours on end, heading from store to store can definitely be draining !  needless to say, one of the perks of comp shopping is that i get to peruse shops not only for my customer, but also for myself :)  today i picked up a couple pieces from where else: banana republic !

i have had these pants in my closet since february, and wasn't in the right mood to wear them until today.  well, here they are.  wore them with flats on my glorious 2 block commute & grew a few inches when i stepped into the office.

a man's style.

one of the influences in my own personal style comes from working in the men's clothing industry.  never thought i would appreciate a man's style to the degree that i do now, ha !  but seriously, love how sexy a man's uniform can make him and that it can be the little AND also the more daring things that can make such the difference.
