new york nights: back to black

this past weekend i was in new york for a college friend's bachelorette party !  was fun catching up & re-living our college ways.

aside from the chambray shirt that i packed for easter sunday, i looked in my suitcase and everything that i packed was black.  definitely played around with different textures like lace, leather, & fur, but i realized that nothing will ever be the new black.  ever.  especially in new york !

sf weather is tricky so when the sun starts to shine, it takes me a couple days of it to really believe what i see. today i finally decided to put the winter coat away & re-acquaint myself with my helmut lang spring jkt that i had thought i'd retired a few years back.  something inside me kept telling me not to pack it away, & i randomly pulled it out last night from the back crevice of my closet.  so glad i kept this number !

today i am trading in the stacked heels for flat-ish booties.  i always come back to these when i just want to be comfy.  paired them with a fem blouse with blouson sleeves & of course my go to: a fur vest.
